My name is Greg Peterson.  I am a senior at Kansas State University with a major in Agricultural Communications and minor in Music Performance. I will be graduating in May of 2013 and will be looking for a job dealing with some form of communication relating to agriculture.



I am passionate about advocating agriculture through words, video, music, and social media. This passion comes from growing up on a family farm and learning about caring for the earth and for animals in the right way. My years of experience working on our farm have created in me a hard work ethic and a strong determination to do things correctly and efficiently. The background I was raised in has been and will continue to be a driving force in the way I live my life.



In the past year, I was fortunate enough to have two videos I created on YouTube go viral. These videos were parody music videos promoting agriculture and have shown millions around the world what life is like on our humble family farm in Kansas. This remarkable situation has given me a platform to tell my story to people through face-to-face conversations, interviews, and social media. I can assure you I have felt the extreme power of social media and fully understand its importance in communicating a message.

The success of the videos has also led to many opportunities for me as a communicator, speaker, and presenter. I have spent a lot of my senior year of college traveling around the country speaking on the importance of advocating agriculture through social media. These opportunities have greatly improved the skills that I need to effectively work in jobs dealing with communication.

I am willing to serve your company to the best of my ability. Experiencing the “fame” of these videos has not weakened my desire to be the best that I can be.
